Meet The Team

THEODORE C. RICHMAN

Theodore C. Richman

Ted Richman was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1978, the United States District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts 1980, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court 1986. Preparatory education: Ohio University (B.A. 1973). Legal Education: New York Law School (J.D. 1977). Formerly associated with Pillersdorf and Nassy (1975-78).

 

Member: American Bar Association; New York State Bar Association; New York State Trial Lawyers Association; New York County Bar Association; Nassau County Bar Association; Who’s Who in American Law.

 

Areas of Expertise: Corporate, Commercial, Litigation, Real Property Law and the representation of Closely Held Business Entities.

 

Ted has trial experience in all the Courts comprising the Second and Third Departments of New York State and the Federal Eastern and Southern District Courts.

 

In addition he has appeared before the First and Second Department Appellate Courts of New York State; the New York State Court of Appeals and the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals

FREDRICK J. RICHMAN

Fredrick J. Richman

Fred Richman was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1981, the United States District Court, Eastern District and Southern District in 1982.

 

Preparatory Education: State University of New York at Oneonta (B.A.1977). Legal Education: Pace University School of Law, (J.D. 1980). Formerly associated with Meltzer & Fishman (1981 – 1984). Former litigation partner with Biller & Richman (1984-1990). Member of New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.

 

Areas of Expertise: General litigation, commercial and residential real estate transactions, public sector labor law.

 

Fred has litigated trials, both jury and non-jury, in New York State Supreme Court in all five Boroughs as well as Nassau and Suffolk County. In addition to his trial experience, Fred has conducted many arbitrations involving complex commercial issues, public sector law matters, and impasse arbitrations. Fred currently represents the Southold Police Benevolent Association, Local Union 589 1.B.E.W. of the Long Island Railroad the Independent Railway Supervisors’ Association of the Long Island Railroad, and the Independent Railway Supervisors International.

 

Fred is deeply committed to the Long Island community. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Friedberg Jewish Community Center and serves on the Advisory Committee of the Sunrise Day Camp, a full service day camp for children suffering from cancer.

RON ROCKOWER

Ron Rockower

An attorney and Certified Public Accountant, Ron was educated at SUNY Binghamton, where he received his B.S. in Accounting in 1983, and is also a 1987 graduate of Hofstra Law School. In that same year he was admitted to the New York State Bar Association.

 

Professional experience includes Arthur Andersen & Co. (1986 – 1989); and Ronald F. Rockower, JDCPA (1989 – present). He has been an adjunct professor at New York Institute of Technology since 2001.

Areas of Expertise: Estate planning, domestic and international taxation, tax preparation and audit representation.

 

Ron has represented clients in New York City, New York State, and Internal Revenue Service audits. He has done tax planning for businesses, individuals, trusts and estates, unions and charitable
